TRENTO CHRISTMAS CITY
It's Christmas and everything is ready to welcome a new edition of "Trento Città del Natale", the rich program of initiatives designed to involve citizens and tourists in this magical period and let them discover the most characteristic places of the city, its history and culture, of its traditions and its flavors.
Next to the famous Christmas Market in Piazza Fiera and Piazza C. Battisti, a new square comes to life: Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore dedicated to children and their families, but also to the agricultural production of the territory. The wooden houses will host the best products of the operators associated with Coldiretti and will be a step away from numerous educational and recreational workshops, which will be proposed in a dedicated and heated structure.
To excite the little ones will certainly be Santa Claus, who with his elves will help the children to write their own letter or to do a little job and will deliver a small gift. Also from this square the Mayor will send greetings to the city, December 22, after which the procession composed of the living nativity figures, accompanied by Christmas carols, will make you relive the magic of the Nativity.
A few steps away, Piazza Duomo dresses up with the majestic illuminated Christmas tree and the light play that animates the whole square. Here the little ones will be able to get on the Christmas train, which will accompany them every day to discover the most beautiful streets of the historical center, lit up for a party.
Those who reach Trento using the comfortable and characteristic historic trains will find, on arrival in Piazza Dante, an absolute novelty, the large panoramic wheel from which you can admire the whole city from a very particular angle and the wooden crib made by the students of the Enaip vocational training center in Villazzano and the A. Vittoria Art Institute.
Volunteering also finds space at the Mercatino, in the three small houses of Volunteering and Solidarity, where each crafted product will make you happy, who will receive it and even a needy person.
The invitation is therefore to discover the city, day after day, letting you be transported by the melodies of the city bands and traveling groups, which with zampogne and comet stars will make you listen again old harmonies and relive timeless emotions.
