The tour of the Maranza fortifications

From the Maranza hut, which can be reached by car from Trento, walk down to the little church at the end of the meadow, then continue along the path to Dos de le Spazadore. Walk up the path to the few remains of the Maranza battery, passing between what was the new defensive line built in 1915. Path 412 leads to the Calcara, above which stood the Maranza blockhaus, which was replaced by field posts that are still partly visible. From here it is possible to
descend along trench tracks until you reach path 412, which leads back to the hut.

The second sector of the Fortress started from the hamlet of Valsorda and occupied the southern part of the Marzola.
