The Trento Film Festival, or the Mountain Festival, is scheduled in Trento from 26 April to 5 May 2024. Founded in 1952, the Trento Film Festival is the first and oldest international film festival dedicated to the themes of mountains, adventure and exploration.

The exploration of oneself, the fragility of the mountain and the new challenges it poses to man are some of the threads that wind between the 120 films and the over 130 events scheduled in Trento.

President Leveghi: "Each spectator will be able to compose his overall picture, marveling at every small change in angle of how much the overall vision can change".

For this 72nd edition, the Manifesto is signed by Ludovica Basso, aka Clorophilla. Her imaginary world is populated by magical animals, goddesses, mermaids, shooting stars, and mythological women. And it is the Woman, understood as the creative force from which everything is born and to which everything is connected, a living entity that welcomes us and protects us, who symbolizes the Mountain in this edition's Manifesto.

This year's Destination section is dedicated to Ireland, a land of migration and enchanting landscapes, with an unprecedented look at contemporary life. The Destination project within Trento Film

Festival has received the patronage of the Embassy of Ireland in Italy and Irish Tourism. 

Trento thus prepares to welcome the Mountain Festival in cinemas, squares and other places in the city with screenings, literary presentations, workshops for children and mountaineering evenings.
