Opening times:
• from January 2021 to December 2025, from Monday to Sunday 0:01am-11:59pm

In the Alps, just a few kilometres away from Trento, a prestigious area dedicated to the protection of flora that occupies an area between 1580 and 2179 metres above sea level.

At the Tre Cime del Monte Bondone Nature Reserve, man's interference is solely limited to observation and research. The reserve, which covers 185 hectares, boasts, from a naturalistic point of view, a rich and interesting flora: here the douglasia vitaliana, the veronica bonarota, the rock snapper and important species such as the alpine and mountain anemone and the silver geranium grow. Furthermore, Viote basin boasts glacial origins and includes a peat bog called "Piana" or "Palù di Bondone", which covers approximately 20 hectares. Several mosses and ponds similar to those traditionally found in northern peat bogs located in circumboreal regions such as Russia, Finland and Sweden have also been discovered here. The botanic gardens were established in 1938 and boast more than 2,000 different species of plants and flowers from leading mountain ranges around the world.
